Description
Set in over seven hectares of heritage gardens and with over 30 historic buildings, the museum makes an ideal location for documentaries, dramas, photography and venue filming.
Interiors and exteriors can be modified to depict periods in time ranging from mid nineteenth century to early twentieth century.
Use of over 30 historical buildings ranging from a wealthy landowner’s residence to a sod cottage beside a large pond. A blacksmith’s shop, general store, mill and water wheel help complete the picture of Auckland at an early stage of development.
Magazine and catalogue ‘Fashion Shoots’ are also catered for, with our 1840 to 1880 period providing an excellent contrast for modern fashion or articles.
Features of filming at the village:
- Parking, including some off street parking (plus discreet additional vehicle access close to some buildings)
- Changing rooms, shower and toilet facilities
- Cafe or catering by arrangement
