Rise To Shine Farm

77 acres of farm land near the kaipara harbour, in Tauhoa, Wellsford. Just over an hour from Auckland central. We are breeding, raising and training house cows (for hand milking) as well as pets, have pet sheep, and pet chickens. The land comprises of diverse landscapes, pasture, extensive block of native bush, pine forest, multiple ponds (one very large), a stream that runs through mature native bush, large hills, wetlands and gullies. From the majority of our property, you can’t see any neighbours/houses, it is very private, quiet and peaceful. There is a stunning panoramic view, which includes the kaipara harbour, from our hilltops. We have extensive veggie gardens, a poly house, multiple sheds / barn / stable / cattle yards. We are developing our property as a permaculture property. We’re regenerative farmers, focused on nurturing the land and raising friendly, gentle and placid animals.

Our homestead is a four bedroom (two guest rooms for accomodation) with two bathrooms and a large deck. It has open plan living, with huge 6m long slider doors along the front which opens out to a view of our massive lily-clad pond and native bush beyond. We also have two lovely cabins, peacefully situated overlooking native bush, that sleep 3-4 people in each.

We really enjoy hosting film cast and crew at our place, and being the animal wranglers on set. We both work from home, and are flexible with days and times for filming. Our property is available as a filming location, our home and 2 cabins as accomodation and/or film set, and our pet cows, sheep, chickens and cattle dogs for any adverts or filming as required.
