You've been here to gaze through the telescopes, with your kids on the weekend or for a Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin music show - but did you know we cater for a range of corporate functions too?
At Stardome we regularly host corporate team-building functions, meetings and conferences, and events including product launches, seminars, dinners, cocktail parties and even weddings. We can offer you access to the entire building for your own use, or you can take advantage of one of Auckland's most delightful meeting rooms, the Sun Room.
SUN ROOM
The Sun Room is a large, rectangular room with natural sunlight and is free from structural columns. Ideal for small- to medium-sized meetings and conferences. The room can be set to any configuration required. Add a show in our state-of-the-art planetarium theatre to the end of your meeting, workshop or planning session, and your attendees will leave feeling as if they haven't been working.
FULL-VENUE HIRE
Alternatively, you can hire the whole venue. This includes the 87-seat planetarium (choose an astronomical show or project your own content onto the dome), a multi-media lecture-style room (the Space Room), and a large, multi-purpose meeting/function room (the Sun Room). Our recently refurbished foyer-exhibits area makes a great break-out space.
CATERING
Our fully equipped catering kitchen is available for your use. This includes steriliser, microwave, oven and boiling-water urn. For up to 30 guests we can provide cutlery, crockery and serving accessories such as coffee plungers, water and milk jugs, and serving platters. You're free to bring in any caterer you choose - see www.stardome.org.nz for a few suggestions.
All hires come with complimentary WIFI access, the use of our printable white-board, laptop, projectors in each room plus speakers and screens, air-conditioning, tables and chairs. Tea and coffee can be organised in-house for a small charge and we can assist you with other catering requirements. Just let us know what you need! We are happy to help you configure the room to your requirements but please allow time for you or your staff to set up and decorate, plus clean up at the end of the event (we ask that all rubbish is removed before you leave).
