Nestled below an architecturally inspired canopy of oak tree leaves is the ilex Café. Since opening in 2014, the building has attracted favourable attention in the world of architecture. Available from 5pm June-August and from 6pm September-May this space is a blank canvas to create anything from a corporate cocktail function to an intimate wedding reception.

As well as the cafe, ilex has a dedicated events space which is contemporary, versatile and includes private outdoor courtyard that provides a sense of intimacy and exclusivity. Truly a one-of-a-kind Botanic Gardens experience. This stunning space with floor-to-ceiling windows offers views of lush greenery and floods the space with natural light. Inside, the design is minimalist and neutral, a true blank canvas with clean lines and high ceilings creating a fresh, airy feel, ready to be styled your way.
