Description
Webb's has been at the centre of New Zealand's art world since 1957, when founder Peter Webb gave Colin McCahon his first solo show. The Wellington gallery carries that legacy forward: a 500m² purpose-built space on Marion Street, fitted out to exacting standards by an award winning designer and running a live programme of exhibitions featuring the best of New Zealand art, established and emerging.
Hiring the gallery means your event sits inside something with real cultural weight. Past hirers include some of New Zealand's most recognisable corporate and cultural organisations; the space has hosted product launches, investment panels, awards evenings, and curator-led private openings. The works on the walls do a lot of the atmospheric heavy lifting, and for groups who want to go deeper, gallery director Virginia Woods-Jack is available to offer a brief introduction to the current exhibition.
Catering and alcohol are provided exclusively through Normanby Fine Wines. No BYO.
Ideal for:
