International Antarctic Centre - The Atrium

The Atrium is an elegant dining space for up to 100 guests, the Atrium may also accommodate 300 guests for cocktail functions. Its spectacular hand-painted mural, dramatic lighting, silked lining and white marble floor combine to make the Atrium a highly presentable, functional and wholly unique venue

To ensure your event is truely one of the ‘coolest’ in town, guests can opt to include full or partial access to our indoor attraction including the Hagglund ride, ‘Antarctica’ the snow and Ice experience (with optional ice bar), 4D Extreme Theatre and the New Zealand Penguin Encounter.

You can either hire the atrium, or you can hire the atrium and the attraction exclusively. Hire of the Attraction and Atrium for dinner includes access and use of the Attraction which includes the Storm Room, Little Blue Penguins and stunning audio visual presentation as well as all the interactive activities in the Attraction.

The Storm Room simulates a mild Antarctic summer storm which your guests can experience wrapped up in the on site cold weather jackets and over shoes with the snow.
