We offer a range of venue hire options at competitive prices – from the grandeur of the Bayleys Knight Frank Foyer to an intimate balcony, a state-of-the-art auditorium and private exhibition viewings, we have a space to suit your needs.
Philip Carter Family Auditorium
This tiered auditorium is ideal for performances, talks, seminars and projection-based entertainment. It’s a warm, intimate space with good natural acoustics and easy-to-use facilities. You can hire the auditorium alone, or with a break-out space for catering.
Capacity: 178 seated
Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri, Sat and Sun: 8am – 10pm | Wed 8am – 5pm
- Half day (8am – 12pm or 1–5pm): $500 including GST and the use of audio-visual equipment
- Full day: (8am – 5pm): $900 including GST and the use of audio-visual equipment
- Hourly: $250 per hour
- $1,000 flat rate fee for hire on Friday and Saturday evenings from 5pm.
Bayleys Knight Frank Foyer
The grandeur of the Bayleys Knight Frank Foyer creates a dramatic welcome, with its sheer wall of undulating glass and views to the forecourt beyond. An impressive marble staircase leads to balconies overlooking the foyer. It’s one of Christchurch’s iconic settings for your most memorable event.

Catering, event management and security, technical requirements and additional licences or event fees relating to Council consents are additional costs, and your responsibility to organise. We have preferred suppliers that can assist with all aspects of quotes and proposals.
Hire of any equipment such as chairs, tables, linen, cutlery, crockery and bar equipment must be managed by your caterer.
