With a large deck and 110-seated capacity function room, the Mount Maunganui Lifeguard Service club is the ultimate spot for your event, tucked into the embracing folds of Mauao with the sound of waves providing the ultimate soundtrack.

With options to hire meeting rooms, the main function room and the upstairs function room there is sure to be something to meet your needs.

Main Function Room:
Nestled under Mauao and right on the edge of Mt Maunganui Main Beach, this is surely the Bay’s most special venue for hire. Seating up to 110 guests this space is bathed in light with breathtaking views over the beach and out to sea. A large deck brings the outdoors in and invites the sound of breaking waves. A dedicated bar and restaurant-style caterers kitchen make this the perfect place for a wedding or other large gathering.

Steeped with the history of Mt Maunganui’s lifesaving club, this space delivers breathtaking views with an intimate feel. With a small deck area leading off the room this venue is perfect for smaller weddings, community events, and family celebrations. Also available for daytime events and corporate gatherings, subject to availability.

Note: Booking of this venue is subject to availability based on club operational activities which take precedence, and prior bookings for the accommodation floor. Also note there is no disabled access for the upstairs rooms.
