Carrington's Pumphouse  



Located in the heart of Mt Albert, amongst the stunning grounds that make up Unitec,  you will find this hidden gem, built in 1907.  Historically the building was the areas pump house for water. The brilliant Kauri roof was milled on site and is a highlighted feature of this character building.  The venue was renovated to a high standard event space in 2007, restoring both the warm terra-cotta brick and kauri roof.    



Today Carrington's Pumphouse host students, faculty and locals alike during the weekdays as a busy lunch and evening licensed cafe.  The venue has a private meeting room for hire that is used during the week for team building, seminars and product launches. Friday to Sunday the venue is available for exclusive private hire and is a popular venue for family celebrations including birthdays, engagements and weddings.  Over Christmas and in the summer months, before Unitec restarts, the venue is available 7 days of the week for events.  



Carrington's Pumphouse has a stunning garden courtyard area with a large percentage of it under cover.  If you want to add that special touch to your event why not set up your dance floor area in the courtyard and dance under the stars.  We have no noise restrictions at the venue so book any entertainment and enjoy the night!  Our license goes to 2 AM.  



The owners of Carrington's Pumphouse also own the stunning Kumeu Valley Estate.  If you are looking for that someplace special for a wedding or civil union, they are specialists with a superb reputation for taking care of all the details at either venue.
