8 Mt Eden Road is a heritage wooden church building across the road from the Powerstation with an eclectic late 20th century, vintage spin. 



From comfy old seventies and eighties couches, to rich purple carpet and fringed lamps like grandma used to to have in her lounge, it is welcoming and familiar.



There is a hall that can easily hold up to 100 people. (Depending on what kind of activity you are undertaking.) This also has a large kitchen and serving area.



Go through an adjoining door to an even larger gathering or performance space that sits within the old parameters of the main sanctury. 



Perfect for community gatherings, musical practice and performance, drama classes, creative performance, coffee groups, book clubs and personal development type courses.  



Already using the building are:

 - artists (there is an art studio on the top floor with 15 resident artists)

 - musicians - there is a sound-proof room in the basement for practise

-  yoga classes

-  music teachers and students

- concerts and performances

- meditation groups

- an arty church community



The building is clean and well kept and adheres to all legal standards for health and safety.



Cost for using the space depends on the timing and period sought for use. Pricing is very accessible, probably best available in the central city.

Price to hire rooms ranges from $15 -$46 per hour depending on the room and equipment that you want to hire. Significant discounts are given to not-for-profit groups and community groups without any source of funding.
