Concert Chamber: Small/Med Sized Conferences

The Academy is available for hire for a full range of arts events, conferences and social functions.

We have five main spaces available, all charged at a half day or full day rate.

The Dr John Gallagher Concert Chamber is the largest of the Academy’s five main venues. Its high ceiling, attractive wall panels and wooden floors are designed specifically for acoustic chamber music and it has established a reputation nationally and internationally as one of the most intimate and acoustically satisfying concert halls in New Zealand. As a theatre venue it has housed performances by groups as diverse as the Naked Samoans, Indian Ink Theatre Company and Capital E Children’s Theatre, and it is particularly suited as a keynote speaker venue for small to medium sized conferences.

Included in the Venue Hire:
-Tables and chairs
-Basic sound, lighting and AV including microphones, projector & screen etc.
-Staging
-Staff for event set up and operation
-Use of greenrooms and dressing rooms (on request)
