Dedicated Venue Space in Newton

The Winchester is a dedicated function venue situated on the ground floor of a magnificent old Masonic lodge in Newton, Auckland Central.

The Winchester is in an early art‐deco era building and is situated in a quiet street in the heart of Auckland, easily reached via the Western, Southern and North Shore motorways. You can hold a fully catered function or you can self‐cater your buffet here which saves you a small fortune.

We have three fully licensed function rooms available which are for your exclusive use during your function. Our friendly staff have many years experience of hosting all types of functions, especially birthday and engagement parties, wedding celebrations, corporate parties, and they are here to make sure you have an awesome night. We make it as hassle‐free as possible.

THE PINNACLE BAR

The Pinnacle Bar is our larger room for hire in which you can invite up to 250 guests for a cocktail party style function or about 150 for a more formal dining event. This room contains an original '80s style bar.
This large room is suitable for various reasons:

• Exhibition, Conference & Events
• Teaching and Training
• Performance Arts
• Digital Music Production

There is a stage for your band or pro-DJ, an in-house sound system, and plenty of laser effects lighting. You may self cater (with use of our kitchen facilities) or choose from our recommended caterer's extensive list of canapés and finger foods. You may decorate or theme the venue in the afternoon of your function. Bar staff and security provided. There is plenty of both on site and street parking. For the smokers, there is an adjoining covered area. 

THE LOUNGE BAR

The Lounge Bar is our smaller room for hire suitable for a guest list of 70-ish. It features a modern cocktail bar, sound system for your pro-DJ, laptop or ipod, effects lighting and comfortable couches. Again you are welcome to self cater and decorate/theme your room on the afternoon of your function.

VIP LOUNGE

The VIP Lounge is the hidden room for private guests, which can cater up to 60 people. This room is only can be booked along with the Pinnacle Room. There are several couches and gaming space for your guests to enjoy cooler, dark and private space.
