Description

Our brand new Island Wedding and Events location at Parohe Island Retreat, a 20 hectare wellness retreat on Kawau Island is the idyllic setting for a destination event - just far away enough to be privately secluded, yet close enough to Auckland to be easily accessible.

We have an extensive flat lawn area, amphitheatred by native bush on the harbour's edge; a north facing setting with great privacy. There are a variety of function spaces that can take 10-50 pax in a cocktail, formal or conference setting. For larger functions we suggest marquees or similar canopies.

A variety of activities are included, ranging from clay bird shooting, pitch golf, volleyball on the lawn, to swimming in the pool, taking an outdoor bath, relaxing in the sauna or a massage in the massage room. We also offer the use of kayaks and paddleboards as well as a myriad of lawn and board games.

Our luxury accommodation can sleep up to 40 guests and each bedroom has its own private bathroom. We serve a farm to table style cuisine featuring ingredients from our gardens and our menus are designed by our in house naturopath and consultant chef. You would be welcome to supply your own catering and use our fully equipped kitchen.

Getting to Parohe Island Retreat is easy - its just a short 20 minute boat ride from Sandspit Wharf. The ferry will deliver you directly to the Retreat. You also have the use of our private marina which can dock boats up to 85ft and there is plenty of space for helicopters to land.
