A conveniently located historic venue in the heart of the capital city and performance space like no other, the legendary Old St Paul’s is available to hire for bands, quartets, soloists, poets, authors, jugglers, thespians, and corporate occasions alike. The interior, which accommodates up to 460 seated, is a glorious riot of colour and light, with excellent acoustics a memorable accompaniment. Since its opening in 1866, Old St Paul's has also been a welcoming and sophisticated venue for hundreds of wedding couples. Famed for its Gothic Revival wooden interior and illuminated stained glass windows, this iconic property in the heart of Wellington provides the perfect setting for a traditional wedding with that delicate twist of modern elegance.

No longer a parish church and proudly cared for by Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga, Old St Paul's is non-denominational though still consecrated. Design your own large or intimate ceremony, whether it is religious, civil, LGBTQA+, or a renewal of vows.

Wedding venue hire includes exclusive use of the church for 90 minutes, pew decorations and the services of the dedicated Old St Paul’s wedding coordinator.
