Heritage Event Space in Auckland

Built in 1862 Highwic is one of New Zealand’s finest Carpenter Gothic Mansions and provides a spectacular heritage setting for your next event. Whether you are planning a wedding, corporate event, celebration of life, or meeting, Highwic is the perfect venue for your upcoming function.

Hidden away in the heart of Newmarket, Auckland’s premier shopping district, Highwic is centrally located and easily accessible via the motorway to North and West Auckland as well as the central city and airport. With plenty of accommodation within walking distance, Highwic is also great for any out-of-town guests.

The Drawing Room, built in the early 1880s, is a truly elegant space with Kauri panelling and an 1890s grand piano that can be played. While the historic Billiard House is a more informal space that you can really make your own. Both of these spaces can accommodate up to 50 people for a seated dinner or up to 90 people standing for a cocktail reception.

For larger events, Highwic’s Tennis Lawn can accommodate a marquee for up to 100 people. The Croquet Lawn, which can be set up with our collection of vintage lawn games, provides space for your guests to relax on picnic rugs and enjoy the heritage gardens.

Highwic is open to view Wednesday through Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm or by appointment.
