Cosy Community Space - The Addington Haven

Description:
The Addington Haven is a community-style building with two carpeted rooms for hire. It is a cosy space used to run workshops, training sessions, meetings and community gatherings. Location is 5 mins drive from central Christchurch.

There are two rentable spaces: the "Big Room" a large hall with a legal capacity of 50 and the "Red Room"a smaller meeting room that is comfortable for up to 25 people.

The Haven is well known for it's calm, restorative vibe so it is best suited to quiet gatherings. Parties with alcohol are not accepted.

Current users:
- training courses, especially of natural therapies, yoga, feldenkreis, cranio sacral etc
- training courses
- community singing groups, a ukulele group and a band for practice
- an after-school programme
- a meditation group and a philosophy discussion group
- a psychodrama group
- singing lessons
- first birthday parties 

Onsite facilities:
- secluded courtyard for break-out space
- modest kitchen with cups, plates, microwave, oven, fridge etc
- two toilets
- limited car parking alongside the building
- chairs, tables, whiteboards, good walls for projecting onto
- overhead heaters in big room
- wheelchair access

Catering.
Vegetarian catering or morning teas etc available by negotiation.

Exclusive use.
Exclusive use of the building is available for $350 +GST per day when available.

NB
Because the venue is in a residential area and because we have many heart-centred groups meeting in the building, the Addington Haven is not available for  events where you expect people to be drinking alcohol.
